About United Way of South Mississippi

United Way of South Mississippi works to advance the common good by concentrating on the most critical needs facing our community.  Today, more than ever, United Way is working to address the issues South Mississippians care most about.  We call it advancing the common good.

We believe that all South Mississippians deserve the opportunity to have a better life.  Our goal is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.

We invite you to join the thousands of South Mississippians who have already committed to LIVE UNITED by investing in your community, by speaking up for the issues that matter, and by volunteering to help

United Way of South Mississippi is one of almost 1,300 independent 501(c)(3) United Way organizations in our country.  We are a community building organization that raises funds and invests financial and other resources in long term solutions.  We are governed by a volunteer board of directors who live and work in South Mississippi.  Communities in Hancock County, Harrison County, and Pearl River County make up our service area.
